JME supported the development of a new build dining facility for Arizona State, uniting high capacity foodservice with a flexible, student centered experience. The design prioritized efficient circulation between front of house and back of house, ensuring fast service at peak hours and a welcoming environment for daily use.
Highlights include a 4,600 square foot free flow servery organized in circular lines with fourteen stations, enabling varied menus, daily rotation, and prominent display cooking. Seating spans 6,800 square feet for 552 students, with 304 in the main dining room, 128 in the refractory, 88 outdoors, and 32 in private dining, offering a range of settings from social to quiet, indoor to open air.
Back of house planning includes 6,500 square feet of kitchen production with warewashing and tray drop off, dedicated prep areas, and both cold and dry storage to support throughput and operational consistency across the 20,000 square foot facility.
