Completed in 2006, JME delivered a 12,675 square foot central kitchen purpose-built for high-efficiency cook-chill production serving 18 schools. The design prioritized safe, streamlined flow and reliable cold chain logistics to support district-wide operations at scale.
Highlights include dedicated zones for bulk cooking at 1,680 square feet, cold preparation, bakery, ingredient handling, warehousing, and food bank storage, all organized for clear separation of clean and soiled pathways and time-temperature control. The facility produces up to 10,000 meals per day, leveraging long-term batch production, energy-efficient systems, and a resilient layout to maximize throughput while maintaining food safety. The 2.6 million dollar investment modernized the district’s program, consolidating production and distribution into a single, highly functional hub.
