Louisa had worked for a foodservice equipment manufacturer before coming to JME Design. She had been trained as a drafter and also worked as an estimator – dealing with bids and pricing.
After being with a manufacturing company for 13 years, she was ‘downsized.’ A colleague told her about John Egnor, who was looking for help. They met at an industry convention in New York City and she was hired.
Louisa started with JME working in the office. Her experience as a drafter helped her to move quickly into the design side.
Her years with the manufacturing company taught her how equipment is made and how it can be modified to be used by different operations. In fact, one of her strengths is integration - making sure that everything works together for the success of the design project.
Louisa is detail oriented and thinks all challenges through, to find the best solution. Both of these traits are important to the design process. All of her experience and strengths make her an asset to JME.
